Travelers Hotel is a 20-room boutique hotel situated smack-dab in the middle of downtown Clarksdale. Once described as having “everything you need, and nothing you don’t,” Travelers Hotel is equal part hotel and community hub — a comfortable, eclectic, and modern tribute to the Mississippi Delta and its artistic traditions. Here, the sense of place is strong.  The lobby is a comfortable space to gather or sit peacefully, surrounded by an evolving collection of local art. The lobby bar features an impressive selection of regional beer, and there’s a small kitchen and conference area for meeting and events. Guests are encouraged to relax, unplug, and soak up Southern hospitality in its truest form.

For this project, Coahoma Collective served as the developer. The nonprofit purchased the property at 212 Third Street using a mix of conventional debt, state and federal historic tax credits, and a grant from the Walton Family Foundation.
